Judy Kay Escudero, 77, of Goodland, died Monday, August 28, 2017, in Colby. She was born February 25, 1940, in Sharon Springs, KS, to Roy and Ruth (McGhghy) Cochrane. She attended school in Sharon Springs KS and graduated from Wallace County High School in 1958. She was as a graduate of International Career Institute majoring in culinary/catering studies. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Prairie Manor nursing home in Sharon Springs, worked for the Sharon Springs Western Times Newspaper and as the cafeteria manager of Northwest Technical College for more than 25 years before retiring. Judy also was a caterer and provided services for numerous weddings and special events for many years. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Goodland and Leadville, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth L. Escudero; brothers, Roy G. (Mickey) Cochrane and Terry Cochrane and ex-husband, Harry L. Escudero.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Steve) Price, Goodland; brother, Dennis J. (Marcie) Cochrane, Salina, KS; grandchildren, Jessica (Shea) Vrbka, Goodland, Lyndsay Price (Kyle Hurst), North Hills, CA, Dallas Price, Denver, CO and Aaron (Tera) Price, Fremont, NE; great grandchildren, Tavis, Delanie and Schuter Vrbka, Vann Hurst, and Lukas, and Noah Price and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be 10:30am MT, on Saturday, Sept 9, 2017 at Bateman Funeral Home, Goodland.
