Joyce Bartell

Joyce A. Bartell, 75, of Winona, died April 26, 2012. She was born March 19, 1937 to Albert and Edna (Wing) Freeman in Garden City, KS. She married Robert (Bob) Bartell on November 24, 1959. She was a hair dresser and also did bookkeeping for the Bartell Drilling. She served on the Winona City Council, Winona School Council and on the North West Kansas Education Service Center Board. She was active in the Winona United Methodist Church (Choir) and in the VFW Auxiliary.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bob (2001); parents, Albert Freeman (1946) and Edna Freeman (2000).

Survived by her daughter, Daylene Bartell, Winona; grandson, Bill Sroufe and wife, Angie, McPherson; son, Kyle Bartell and his significant other, Rhonda Fischer, Winona, and her two children, Jesse and Robin Baker; extended family Rich and Beth Fabac; great-granddaughters Kate and Callie Fabac.

Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Winona United Methodist Church, Winona. Burial will follow in Russell Springs Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Winona United Methodist Church in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 204, Oakley, KS 67748.
