Josephine Quint, 80, of Grinnell, died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Citizens Medical Center, Colby. She was born February 21, 1932 to Peter and Agatha (Leikam) Unrein in rural Ellis County. She married Melvin Quint on Nov. 22 1949, a marriage that lasted 61 years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church (Grinnell) and St. Mary’s Alter Society. She enjoyed visiting and knew no strangers, avid bingo player and watching the grandchildren sports activities. She joined the V.F.W Ladies Auxiliary on Oct 7, 1960 and served as past president.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Melvin Quint (2011).
She is survived by four children, Linda Windholz and husband Augie (Hays), Ilene Beckman and husband Joseph (Oakley), Royal Quint and wife Eileen (Raton, NM) and Marcie Wolf and husband Rick (Grinnell); nine grandchildren, Tracie Schardein, Mark Windholz, Jody Beckman, Eric Beckman, Kayla Nuss, Tarin Giacomo, Raquel Quint, Jessica Sieker and Amanda Wolf; nine great grandchildren, Marissa, Mallory, Kyler, Alisha, Jade, Chance, Brianna, Laurel and Juliett.
A visitation will be will be from 6-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Parish Center with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church, Grinnell.
