Joan Sheree Williams, 57, of Oakley, died April 2, 2014. She was born February 10, 1957 to Verlin Lyle and Norma Lee (Pinkston) Plummer. She was the second of four siblings. When Joan was a little girl, her grandmother Clara Pinkston nicknamed her ‘Joni’ and that was the name that stuck. Joni loved working around people and helping the needy and the sick. There was nothing she wouldn’t have done to make their life easier, even if that meant giving the shirt off her back. In 1976 she married Bob Hunziker. To this union Chanda Sue and Robert Clint were born. In November of 1990 she married her best friend and love of her life, Paul David Williams. To this union were born, Travis Paul and Bailey Shantel. On May 8th, 2012, she defeated death when she was first diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
She was preceded in death by her parents Verlin and Norma Lee Plummer, grandparents; Roy and Meta Plummer and Oscar and Clara Pinkston and niece Grace Lee Plummer.
