Jewel D. Shanks, 91, formally of Atwood passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Dodge City. She was born August 6, 1926 in Warm Springs, ARK to Clyde and Flossie (Blackwell) Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl; daughter Judith Thornburg; parents and brothers, Gene and Robert Cousins.
She is survived by son Danny (wife Dale) Shanks; son-in-law Jerry Thornburg; grandchildren, Macaila Shrader Shanks, Lisa Soderholm and James Thornburg; six great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
