Jessie Behrens

Jessie Diane Behrens of Colby, KS passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 72 in Hays, Kansas. All who knew her were warmed by her infectious personality and richly blessed by her selflessness. Jessie was funny. She was a pillar of endless strength. She mothered anyone and everyone in her path. And boy was she ever full of vinegar! 

Jessie was born in Colby, Kansas on August 26, 1952, to Vonda and Chester Leonard Senger. She was one of seven children. After high school Jessie earned her cosmetology license. She spent most of her life in Colby, Kansas caring for her mother and adding to the self-confidence of every client that sat in her chair. She was made for the beauty shop culture. She loved laughing, giving people static and shooting the breeze! Jessie single-handedly raised four daughters and poured everything she had to give into her girls, Arion Beals, Rebble Kelsey, Amie Behrens, and Cami Meadows. She was so proud of them and often lived vicariously through each of their life journeys. Jessie was also blessed with ten grandchildren whom she was so proud of.
