Jerome Kruse

Jerome “Jerry” L. Kruse, 45, of Oakley, died Saturday, January 15, 2011. Jerry was born March 2, 1965 to Sam and Ada (Zerr) Kruse. Jerry graduated from Oakley High School in 1985; he also attended the School for the Blind in Topeka, graduated from the Leader Dog Program (Rochester, MI) and was a member of Tri State coalition of concerned motorcycles group.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father Sam; a brother Larry “Sam”, a niece Sheena Stephens and a nephew Kerry Reilley.

Jerry is survived by his mother Ada, Colby; a brother Gary (Oakley); three sisters, Izetta Rummel (Wes), Colby, Lisa Stephens (Stan), Oakley, Bo Opel (Don), Austin, TX; a son Trey Dawes, Oakley and many loved nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Baalmann Mortuary (Oakley) with a vigil service at 5 p.m. A memorial mass will be Thursday, January 20, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Oakley).
