Janice (Teague) Williams, 85, of Oakley, passed away on December 14, 2021, at the Logan County Manor, in Oakley. She was the youngest daughter of Bill and Flossie (Wright) Teague, born on September 27, 1936, in Gove County, KS.
Janice married John E. Williams of Russell Springs, KS, on June 3, 1953. The couple had three children, Nyla and husband Rick Holaday, of Oakley, KS, Johnnie and wife Donna Williams, of Page City, KS and Jena Roe, of San Antonio, TX.
Along with her children, Janice is survived by her grandchildren, Ricky and wife Andrea Holaday, Amanda and husband Wilburt Brown, Jerri and husband Tyrel Beesley, Jessi Williams, Daniel Williams, Easton Roe and Peyton Roe and wife Alex; 12 great grandchildren, Christian, Bailey, Abigail and MaKala Holaday, Ava, Nyleea and Mason Brown, Ellie, Clare, Marie, Jack and Katharine Beesley and sister Laretta Simonsen, of Oakley, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John Williams; sister Irene Cunningham and brothers-in-law, Charles Cunningham and Ral S. Simonsen.
Janice enjoyed bowling and going dancing. Her favorite hobbies were knitting and sewing. She also loved to be around family and friends. Many of her friends knew her from working at the Eagles Club, Vets Club and the original Sonic in Oakley. She also worked at JCPenney and Pennington’s Drug Store.
Janice will be missed by many, family, friends and workers at Logan County Manor.
