James Martin Albers

James Martin Albers, 85, of Oakley, died Monday, October 28, 2024. He was born October 12, 1939, in Hoxie, KS, to John and Mary (Schoenberger) Albers. Jim worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bernie, LeRoy (Loretta) and Bill and sisters, Mary LoRee, Helen (Donald) Legleiter and Roberta (Phil) Robben.

Jim is survived by his sons, James Martin Albers Jr and Troy Lynn Albers; siblings, Gary (Chris) Albers, of Gillette, WY, Charles (Lois) Albers, of Hays, KS and Evelyn Geist, of Oakley, KS; nieces Johnna (Eric) Klein and Karre VanPatten and many more nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m., with Vigil at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley. Funeral Mass is at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
