Helen Zimmerman

Helen A. Zimmerman, 74, of Grinnell died Sunday January 16, 2011. Helen was born February 15. 1936 in Ellis, KS to Dominic and Lena Bollig. She married Joseph Dominic Zimmerman on February 3, 1959 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis, KS. She was a Registered Nurse at Logan County Hospital, Gove County Hospital, the Gove County Health Nurse and the Grinnell School Nurse. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church Grinnell, KS.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents.

Helen is survived by her husband J.D., three sons Richard (Deidre) Grainfield, David (Maria) Grinnell, Jim (Amy) Lansing and daughter Daria Berger Loveland CO. Fourteen grandchildren Heather (Neil) Olivier, Amanda (Eric) Griggs, Stephanie (Ross) Wilson, Ben, Caroline & Jake Zimmerman, George & William Berger, Dominic, Carlie and Morgan Zimmerman, Brett, Jerod & Carson Zimmerman and a brother Alfred Bollig.

Visitation is Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 5-8 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church Parish Center. Vigil service at 7 p.m. Funeral will be Wednesday, January 19, 2011, 10:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church, Grinnell, KS. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
