Helen Douglas

Helen Douglas, 64, of Oakley, formally of Sharon Springs, died Sept 21, 2010. She was born Dec 8, 1945 to Waldo and Mary (Freeman) Barstow in Pratt, Ks. Helen Married Don J. Douglas on Dec 14, 1963 in Denver, CO. She was a housekeeper for many years and loved to do wood restoration.

Proceeded in death by her parents and husband.

Survivors include two daughter LaDonna Denning, Evans, CO and Jeanette Maier husband George, Oakley, KS; one son Tim Douglas and wife Michelle, Goodland, KS; five sisters Sally Mace, Katie Reazin, Karen Liby, Vicki Leiker and Jane Russell; mother-in law, Cecilia Douglas; six grandchildren, Janell, Dustin, Tyler, Brandon, Amber and Tate.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m., vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Fri, Sept 24, 2010, at Baalmann Mortuary, 304 E. 8th St. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Sat, Sept 25, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley, KS. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in Sharon Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Hospice Services Inc and Prairie Senior Living Complex in care of Baalmann Mortuary, P.O.
