Harvey Lee Wright was born June 20, 1933, in Achilles Township, Rawlins County, KS to Elmer and Adeline (Dostal) Wright. He died October 20, 2015 in Atwood, KS at the age of 82. Harvey lived in the Achilles area his whole life where he farmed and ranched. As an adult, Harvey was the honorary mayor of Achilles, a member of the International Order of Oddfellows and served as president of the Mini Sappa Antique Thresher and Engine Show for many years. Harvey never knew a stranger and always said sitting on the tractor was the best of times. This love for farm equipment led to many hours working on antique equipment. Fishing was another love of his. But if you ever wanted to see his face light up, you just needed to watch him spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Elmer Wright, who passed on May 8, 1992 and Adeline Wright, on May 17, 1998 and grandson, Tate Aaron Schneider, on March 12, 1977.
