Glinda Guard

Glinda Louise (Harry) Guard, 60, of Colby, KS, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Hays Medical Center. She was the daughter of Everett and Adella Harry and was born August 11, 1955. Glinda graduated from Colby High School in 1975 and was married to Gary Guard on May 28, 1977. She was employed by McDonalds of Colby and most recently, the Kansas Area Agency on Aging. Her life was dedicated to her family and her beloved animals.



She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Calvin Harry.



She is survived by her husband, Gary Guard; a son, Shaun Guard; a daughter and son in law, Shanna and Jerry Koster; two grandchildren, Paige and Ariana Koster; three sisters, Regina Depperschmidt, of Loveland, CO, Gloria Pabst, of Oakley, KS and Cheryl Maggard, of Wichita, KS; a brother, Phil Harry, of Colby; as well as many nieces and nephews.



Cremation was chosen. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with inurnment to follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
