Glenita Moore

October 25, 1921 — June 17, 2023

Glenita Ardis (Jessup) Moore, of Oakley, died on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Logan County Hospital in Oakley, KS, at 101 years old. She was born on October 25, 1921, in Dougherty, IA, to William and Claudia (Bates) Jessup. Glenita married Donald M. Moore on November 3, 1940, at the Little Brown Church, in Nashua, IA.

Glenita was a member of Rebekahs, Monument Mother’s Club, Garden Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Those preceding her in death were her husband, Donald M. Moore; her son, Daniel Moore; her great grandchild Colter Suters; her parents; and four sisters.

Survivors include sons, David Moore, Oakley, Paul Moore (Cindy), San Diego, CA, Donald Moore Jr. (Sandy), Monument, and Stephen Moore (Loretta), Oakley; a daughter, Claudia Coulter (Bob), Wheatridge, CO; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00- 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley. Glenita will be laid to rest in the Oakley City Cemetery.
