Friend Karyn

Send Flowers Friend R. Karyn June 25, 1992 - June 21, 2016 Karyn was born on June 25, 1992 in Colby, Kansas to James A. House and Amy Jo Gillispie.  Karyn had three brothers, Ricky S. Nelson, Hunter J. House and Kadyn B. Nelson, as well as two sisters, Rylea K. Nelson and Emily D. Corber.  Karyn attended Colby Public Schools through middle school.  She attended Brewster School through high school. Karyn married Luke D. Friend of Peetz, Colorado on June 28, 2013.  Karyn gave birth to their first child, Abel Stone Friend on August 20, 2012.  Their daughter, Mya Fern Friend was born on December 19, 2013.  Karyn was a wonderful mother.  She lived her life for her family.  She was a patient mother who never let the little things in life cause her stress.  She loved to dress her children up and take them for adventures with Luke.  Karyn was always involving her children in craft projects to give away to family members.  She enjoyed photography, especially taking pictures of Mya and Abel.  She taught her children the joy of giving and the joy of life.  Karyn was a bright, bubbly, colorful woman who impacted everyone around her in some way. Karyn is survived by her husband Luke and two children, Abel and Mya.  Her parents, her stepfather Jeffery Lynn Nelson, her two sisters, her three brothers, her mother and father in-law Marty and Laura Friend, her sister-in-law Tara Friend and brother-in-law Cody Fundus, and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, M. Janice (Buford) Gillispie, grandfather Arnold L. Gillispie, grandfather Duwayne "Skeeter" Nelson. grandfather Lawrence House Jr. and grandmother Alta Mae House. The family would like to thank everyone for their tremendous outpouring of prayers, love and support.
