Frances Shipman

Frances (Fran) Dinkel Padgett Shipman, 78, of Salina, KS died Nov 11, 2009. Fran was born Sept 19, 1931 in Grainfield, KS to John and Christina (Kaiser) Dinkel. She married William Padgett, after his passing, she married Albert Shipman. Fran was preceded in death by her parents; husbands William and Albert; brother-in-laws Ed Schumacher, Charlie Halford and Don Billinger; sister-in-laws Lone Dinkel, Inex Dinkel and Barbara Dinkel; three nephews.

Fran is survived by two brothers Richard Dinkel of Waverly, KS and LeRoy Dinkel and wife Joan of Grainfield, KS; four sisters, Mary Halford of Salina, Darlene Schwarzenberger and husband Frank of Quinter, KS, Louella Zerr and husband Willie of Oakley, KS and Loretta Billinger and friend Larry Harris of Alamogordo, NM; numerous nieces, nepohews, great nieces and great nephews.

Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept 19, 2010 at Grainfield Cemetery. A reception will follow after at the Catholic Education Center in Grainfield. For condolences send to Baalmann Mortuary P. O. Box 204 Oakley, KS 67748.
