Frances Schleicher

Frances Geraldine "Jeri" Schleicher, 87 died Saturday, February 22, 2014. She was born September 10, 1926, in Waco, Texas to William Jushua Jones and Sarah Emily (Blount) Jones. Surviviors include her daughter, Linda J. Garrett, Gem, KS; her son Clif (Sheryl) Schleicher, Bradenton, FL; three grandchildren, Penny (Jerry) Nemechek, Goodland, KS; Jill (Larry) Deges, Montezuma, KS; Grady Garrett, Colby, KS; two step grandchildren, Chad (Aubre) Hayden, Brandon, FL; Chris Hayden, Mission, KS; and ten great grandchildren. Jeri grew up in Waco, Texas. She married Charles Francis Scheicher April 1, 1945, in Amarillo, Texas. After WWII, they lived in New Jersey and later moved to Texas before settling in Shawnee Mission, KS in 1962. Jeri was a homemaker and active in the church. She and Charles were Youth Group Sponsors for the Prebyterian Church in San Marcos, TX and Shawnee Mission, KS. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, and seven siblings. Jeri was a resident of Prairie Senior Living Complex in Colby when she died.
