Everett F. Cunningham, 79, of Oakley, was born on May 21, 1935, to Clyde and Margie (Mastin) Cunningham on a farm two miles east and a mile north of the Union School House on the Gove-Orion Road, in Gove County, KS. He died at home on September 14, 2014.
He grew up on a farm Southwest of Oakley, KS. He attended High School in Monument, KS where he graduated in 1953.
On November 20, 1954 he married Vivian Aschenbrenner. To this union four children were born; Rodney (Pamela) Cunningham, Kendall Cunningham, Karen Elkins and Bryan (Tammy) Cunningham.
For the last 22 years of his working career Everett worked for Gene Bertrand as manager and mechanic at Gene’s OK Tire. Throughout his life he earned a living by farming, doing finish work on grain elevators, as parts man for CD Clark and Son’s, a grinder operator for the Oakley Feed Lot, and served 16 years as a volunteer firefighter from 1979-1995.
On September 2, 1978 he married Beverly Shook Noel, with this union he acquired five step children; A. Thea Noel (John) Beckman, F. Garnett (Alycia) Noel, Megan Noel, Nels (Sherry) Noel and Sean (Mary) Noel.
From the blended family he had 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Clyde and Margie Cunningham and great granddaughter Madison Dell VanBeek.
