Eugene Adolph Schoenberger, 76, of Natoma, died Monday, June 20, 2022. He was born May 20, 1946, in Ransom, KS, to Daniel and Mary (Dechant) Schoenberger. Eugene graduated from Oakley High School in 1964 and went on to serve in the United States Army Airborne from 1965 to 1967. He also attended Barnes School of Business, in Denver, CO. On June 8, 1974, Eugene married Doris Jackson, in Colby, KS. He worked at S&T Telephone Company for 44 years before retiring. Eugene served 17 years on the Brewster City Council and was a member of the Oakley Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard and Alvin Schoenberger; sisters, Delores Schoenberger, Dorothy Savacool, Patricia Herin and Darlene Hileman; daughters, Monica “Nicci” Russell and Brandi McConnell and grandsons, Tanner and Tobby Racette.

He is survived by his wife Doris; daughter Martina (Shawn) Richards; brothers, Daniel, Edward and Ronald Schoenberger; sisters, Verlene Mader and Cindy Everly; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby, with burial in the Grinnell Township Cemetery, Grinnell.
