Erma Vette

Erma Eileen Vette, 88, of Colby, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Citizens Medical Center, Colby. She was born on Aug. 6, 1924 to Ralph and Vida (Harris) Eddy in Osborne County. She married Henry Vette on Dec 25, 1947 in Osborne, a marriage of 65 years. She enjoyed painting and arts. She was a member of the High Plains Art Club, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, United Methodist Women and the Colby united Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ernest Eddy; a sister, Lola Schmidt and a grandson, Jerry K. Vette, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Vette of the home; two daughters, Carolyn K. (William) Hedge, Plymouth, Mass and Tamera R. Jones, Great Bend; a son, Jerry K. (Sherry) Vette, Garden City; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10:00 am – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Funeral service will be 10:30 am on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the United Methodist Church, Colby.
