Eric Francis Robben, 39, of Oakley, died Saturday, January 15, 2011. Eric was born July 29, 1971, to Larry Robben and Brenda Anderson. He was a graduate of Oakley High School, Colby Community College and North West Technical College in Goodland. Eric spent 2 years in the Navy and was an owner of Oakley Motors. He was a member of the Oakley Fire Department, Knights of Columbus, Tri County Amusement Board, Hoxie Elk’s Lodge and Tri State Coalition of Concerned Motorcyclists.
Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents Francis and Laverna Robben, and Ithyl Hughes.
Eric is survived by his parents Larry (Alice) Robben Oakley, Brenda Anderson, Keokuk, IA, three sisters Tanya (Todd) Schwarz Rexford, KS, Anita Robben (Steve) Wichita, KS and Misty Hockersmith Oakley, KS, friend Shelly DeJanzen., former wife Kathy Robben, five nephews, one niece, one step nephew, one great nephew, three step daughters and five step-grandchildren; grandparents Irene Hughes of Keokuk, IA and Leonard Anderson (Roma) of Minden, NE.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 19, 2011, 4-8 p.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church Oakley KS. Rosary service at 7 p.m. Funeral will be Thursday, January 20, 2011, 10:30 a.m., at St Joseph Church, Oakley, KS. Burial will be at St Joseph Cemetery.
