Duane Watkins

Duane Charles Watkins was born September 12, 1985, in Plainville, KS to Richard and Leeon Watkins and passed away on September 16, 2023.

Duane graduated from High School in Derby, KS. He went to Vo-Tech school in Beloit, KS and graduated from the welding department. He went to work for Leon’s Welding in Hays, KS and later made scaffolding and put it up for a company. Duane was a hard worker and enjoyed working.

Duane is survived by his father Richard Watkins, of Gaylord, KS; sisters, Maria Watkins, of Hays, KS and Elizabeth Watkins, of Texas; uncles, Myron Watkins, of Great Bend, KS and Danny Watkins, of Topeka, KS and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Leeon Watkins; uncles, Eugene Watkins and Pete Watkins and aunt Ida Watkins.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 3,2023, at the Plainville Cemetery, Plainville, KS.
