Dr. Kristina Booker, Dvm

Dr. Kristina Diane Booker, DVM, 42, of Oakley, died Thursday, September 13, 2018. She was born February 5, 1976, in Oakley, KS, to Ted Howard and Jolene (Wassemiller) Howard. Kristy graduated from Oakley High School. She attended Cowley County Community College, where she played basketball for two years, then played at Bethany College for two years. Kristy then spent four years at Kansas State University, graduating in 2002 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation Kristy returned to Oakley to start her 16 year practice at Oakley Veterinary Service. She became a partner in the practice in 2008 and owner in 2010. Dr. Kristy was a member of the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association and the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. On June 14, 2003, Kristy married Jason Booker and they were blessed with two daughters.

Kristy was preceded in death by her brother Travis Howard and grandparents, Kenny Howard and Ruben and Mary Ann Wassemiller .

She is survived by her husband, Jason and daughters Liberty and Justice; mother Jolene Howard; father Ted (Darcy) Howard and grandmother Barb Howard.

There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2018 at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley. A private family service and interment will take place.
