Doris Shoemaker

Doris Louise Shoemaker, 90, of Colby, died Monday, May 20, 2019, at Citizens Medical Center, Colby. She was born January 10, 1929, in Winfield, KS, to Robert and Helen (Enegren) Haines. Doris married Gene Shoemaker on May 1, 1946. The couple was married for over 71 years. Doris was active in several United Methodist Churches across western Kansas, that Gene was Pastor at. She played the organ and sang. She also enjoyed sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Gene.

Doris is survived by her children, Joe (Brenda) Shoemaker, of Drummonds, TN, and Janet (Kal) Morin, of Parker, CO; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
