Donald Joseph Boeger, 69, of Angelus, died Wednesday, June 15th, 2016, at Via Christi Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. He was born August 6th, 1946, in Colby, Kansas, to Frank and Catherine (Moellering) Boeger. He graduated from Grinnell High School in 1964 and Goodland Vo-tech in 1966. On October 5th, 1968, he married Raecine Heinrich, in Angelus, Kansas. Donald was a farmer his entire life.
His love for Christ and his family and friends were evident in his daily actions. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Angelus and a 3rd degree member of Knights of Columbus.
Time with family and friends was greatly treasured. Many evenings you could find Don and Raecine spending time with friends around their kitchen table. There was no limit to the laughter and love.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Delores Letourneau and Bernice Lang and his brother Clemens Boeger.
Don is survived by his loving wife of almost 48 years, Raecine; two sons, Christopher and wife Kathy and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Devan, Ashley, Allison, Garret, Dalton and Dylan and two sisters, Phyllis Temaat and Ann and husband Dale Nice.
Don was dearly loved. He always had a big smile for every one and didn’t know a stranger. He was always positive and will be missed by all of his family and friends.
Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, in Angelus, with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass is 9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 also at the Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
