Dickie Dale “Dick” Nelson, 62, of Oakley, died Monday, Dec 30, 2013. He was born Dec 22, 1951 to Virgil and Lucille (Rodenbeck) Nelson in Oakley. He worked for the City of Oakley for over 30 years. He had a love for family, friends and his two dogs.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two sisters, Donnette (Ben) Ellegood, of Oakley and Connie Jackson, of Oakley; one niece and five nephews; three great nieces and two great nephews.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be at 2:00pm on Friday, Jan 3, 2014 at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley. Memorials are suggested to the Dick Nelson Memorial Fund in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 204, Oakley KS 67748. Online Condolences: www.baalmannmortuary.com
