David Rudy, 62, of Colby died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Colby Health and Rehab. He was born May 1, 1953 to Earl and Irene (Townsend) Rudy in Denver, CO. He was raised by his uncle and aunt, Lyle and Elva Prout in Plainville, where he attended School. David owned and operated a tree and yard service company, delivered the Colby Free Press and also did clown acts. He was a member of the Colby United Methodist Church, an honorary member of the Sons of the American Legion and American Legion Post #363 and served as the Americanism Officer for the High Plains Voiture #1543.
He was preceded in death by his parents and uncle and aunt, Lyle and Elva Prout.
He is survived by his fiancée Iris Evans; her children, Jessica (Harry) Marlles and David Phillips; his children, Jared (Emily) Rudy and Elizabeth Ann (Clark) Gustafson; grandchildren, Brooklyn and Evelyn Rudy and Brody and Emi Gustafson; brothers, Ronald (Debra) Rudy, Donald (Lucille) Rudy and Roy Rudy.
Visitation will be 4-7pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Funeral service will be 10:30am on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Colby United Methodist Church.
