Dale Spencer

Dale Eugene Spencer passed away on September 10, 2016 at the Logan County Manor at the age of 93. Dale was born in Oakley, Kansas on July 12, 1923. He graduated in 1943 from Oakley High School. He completed two years of College at Kansas State University, majoring in business administration. He served in the Army from April 2, 1945 to July 13, 1947. He was stationed at Yokohama, Japan where he supervised 300 postal clerks, civilian and military in delivery of mail for 200,000 troops. Dale was a minister of gospel for 62 years from 1948 to 2010.


Dale is survived by his sister Ila Mae Spencer Zeigler and husband Jack of Tulsa, Oklahoma and nine nieces and nephews.


Dale is preceded in death by his parents Corwin H. and Pearl (Smith) Spencer, his brother Dean and wife Jean and sister Ramona Spencer Case and husband Don.


Funeral service will be 11:00am on Wednesday, Sept 14, 2016 at the Buffalo Bill Cultural Center, Oakley with visitation starting at 10:00am until service time. For condolences or information visit www.baalmannmortuary.com
