Dale Everett Losey, 89, of Oakley, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Logan County Hospital. He was born May 27, 1925 to Henry and Viola (Cales) Losey in Naponee, NE. He graduated from Gove High School in 1945. He married Mary Jane Burris on June 7, 1947 in Oakley, KS. The family lived on a farm south of Gove until they moved to Oakley in 1962. He was a farmer, plumber, and a member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed farming, working cattle, hunting and spending winters as a snow bird in Arizona for 18 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Rex, Bus and Dan; two sisters, Phyllis Ott and Doris McGee.
He is survived by his wife; three children, Linda (Ray) Manning, of Oakley, Dave (Kathy) Losey, of Plainville and Marilyn (Stan) Black, of Estes Park, Co; two brothers, Stuart, of Longmont, CO and Joe, of Salina; a sister Betty Masengill, of Fort Worth, TX; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
