Curtis Gene Stephens, third child of Joe A. and Darline (Wagy) Stephens, was born at Oakley, KS, on September 17, 1959. After graduating from Oakley High School he attended Northwest KS Vo-Tech, earning a degree in Farm and Diesel Mechanics. Curtis returned to live his life in the Monument, KS community. Curtis’s life career and passion was as a Farmer of the land. On December 14, 2020, at the age of 61, Curtis passed away of natural causes, at his home.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother Dan (Rita) Stephens, St. Francis, KS; sister Jolene (Brendan) Carlin, Downs, KS; nieces and nephews, Erin (Jared) Petersilie, LaCrosse, KS, Amanda (Dan) Atkisson, Stockton, KS, Trenton (Vyctorya) Heinen, Wichita, KS, John Stephens, Max, NE and David Stephens, St. Francis, KS as well as 6 great nieces and nephews.
A simple graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Beulah Cemetery, Colby, KS.
