Cordelia Ida Jespersen, 86, of Colby, died December 12, 2013. She was born July 21, 1927 in Zurich, KS to Phillip and Melvina (Thyfault) Bedore. She married Louis Jespersen. She owned Cordie’s Crafts and was a member of the Green Thumb of Kansas, Colby V.F.W. Auxiliary and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Marie Zoborst and Louise Harper and brother Paul Bedore.
She is survived by her children Nolan (Becky) Jones, Blackwell, OK, Melvina (Wayne) Linderer, Arvada, CO, Mike (Sheila) Jones, Madison, KS, Leland (Sally) Jones, Colby, KS, Cynthia (Jay) Black, Colby, KS; sisters, Phyllis Kriss, Colby, KS and Christiana Vassilakos, Aurora, CO; twelve Grandchildren and thirteen Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby with a Vigil at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby with burial to follow in Beulah Cemetery, Colby.
