Clement Mumm

Clement Roland “Clem” Mumm, 85, of Colby, KS died Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Citizens Medical Center. Clem was born July 13, 1937 the 13th child to Gottfried “Fred” and Sarah “Sadie” (McDonald) Mumm on the family farm in rural Sheridan County, KS. He was united in the Sacrament of Marriage to Patricia “Pat” Van Pelt at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colby on July 26, 2002. The couple made their home in Colby.

Clem was a kind, gentle, quiet and humble man. He loved people and being around others at all kinds of different gatherings. He liked yard work, watering the flowers and feeding the birds. He really enjoyed his dogs and his cat that he cared for and referred to as “his kids”. He liked going to coffee with his friends and volunteered for a time at Prairie Senior Living Complex in Colby at their Farmer’s Café.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colby. He was very sincere and devoted to his Catholic Faith and receiving the Sacraments.
