Claude Herren

Claude W. Herren, 81, of Colby, died July 15, 2012, in Colby, Kansas. He was born February 3, 1931 to Onnie D. and Minnie (Love) Herren in Colby, Kansas. He married Cleta Vacura on August 26, 1956. He was a farmer. He was drafted into Army in 1954 and served until 1956. He was active member of the American Legion, Colby Incampment#137, Sunlight Lodge #273, Odd Fellows Lodge for 63 years, Colby Cantor #20 as well as Boy Scouts for 30 years with 18 years as a Scout Master.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Survived by his wife, Cleta (Colby); son, Roger Herren (Colby); grandson, Gavin Herren (Colby); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dean and Dorothy Vacura (Jennings), many nieces, nephews, and cousins. As well many, many friends.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Baalmann Mortuary, 190 South Franklin, Colby, KS 67701. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery.
