Chico Lucero, 54, of Oakley, died November 10th, 2023, at the Logan County Hospital, in Oakley, Kansas. He was born April 3rd, 1969 in Denver, Colorado to William and Lois (Nelson) Lucero. Chico grew up in Larkspur, Colorado, living there for most of his life until moving to Kansas in 2004 with his family.
Chico spent most of his time doing what he loved, which was working on cars, tractors, semis, anything you could fix he’d try. You could see him peddling on his bicycle around the town or spending time with his animals. If he wasn’t working he enjoyed watching any movie he could get his hands on. He enjoyed spending time with his best friend Chuck, whom he worked with.
He is survived by his children, son Anthony of Grainfield, Kansas; daughter Jessica of Grainfield, Kansas, and daughter Leilani of Colorado; 3 grandchildren, Connor and Claire James and Zayden Burdett; brother Joaquin Lucero; sisters, Beth, Heidi (Kevin), and Missy (Rob); and his parents, William and Lois (Nelson) Lucero.
