Charlie J. Hullet, 89, of Oakley, died Saturday, August 04, 2012 at Logan County Manor. He was born on March 6, 1923 to Fred and Mabel (Stevenson) Hullet in Orion. He was a life time farmer of the area. In 1984 he inherited a quarter of ground and was able to fulfill a dream he had by making it into a wild animal refuge. He planted trees, flowers and bushes on the land. He was very proud of the windmill and aquifer he put in to water the acres of trees. His hard work garnered him a Soil Conservation Award and recognition from many local newspapers.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Melvin Hullet.
Survivers include two brothers, Kelvin (Mae) Hullet, Oakley and Elvin (Nita) Hullet, Vancouver, WA; three sisters, Maxine Nickelson, Oakley, Lucine Albers, Oakley and Darline (Bob) Arnberger, Page City.
