Charles Lamb

It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Craig Lamb (Rabbit), 62, of Atwood Kansas, announce his passing Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at home after a long battle with cancer.

He was born March 31, 1959, in Oberlin, KS to Darrel Dean Lamb and Sylvia Jean Urban.

Craig spent his life in and around the Atwood area, graduating from Atwood High School in 1977. He did several side jobs like roofing, etc., while working for Murfin Oil for 41 years. He was an avid golfer and fell in love with motorcycles and motocross at the age of 16. He continued his love of riding up until his death, making his annual trek to attend the Sturgis Motorcycle rally for 18 straight years. He put over 100,000 miles on multiple bikes traveling around the country and enjoying the sights and wonders it had to offer, never tiring of the views offered from the top of a bike. He loved fiercely and was loyal to a fault and we take comfort knowing his pain is at an end and he is at last at peace.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Ethel and Jennifer.

Craig will be sadly missed by his spouse of 10 years Robbyn; daughter Kellee Wemes, of North Port, Fl; sons, Jordan, of Hays, KS, and Christopher, of Jewell, KS; stepson Anthony (Ashley) Allen, of Hastings, NE; three grandchildren; several brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Craig this spring when weather permits safe travel and a Rabbit Run in his honor that day. Details will be released when a date is set. All are welcome to come share stories of the Craig they knew and miss. For information or condolences visit www.baalmannmortuary.com
