Charlene Whitaker

Charlene Gayle Whitaker, 59, of Colby, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Citizens Medical Center in Colby, KS. She was born September 25, 1958 in Chicago, IL to Larry and Welltha Whitaker and was a graduate of Thornridge High School, class of 1977. Char married Ronald T. Asbury in 1993, and resided in Goodland, KS where they happily raised their son Jeffrey.

Char was an avid reader, an amateur writer, and a loving mother and wife. She is survived by her husband, Ron, of Colby; siblings, Jeff Whitaker, of Arlington, TX, and Patricia Sadowski of Pittsburgh, PA; her son Jeff, of Clarksville, TN; and her two grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
