Calvin R. Lemman

Calvin Russell Lemman, 63 of Colby, KS, departed this world December 29, 2024. He was born in McCook, NE to Russell and Louise Lemman.

Calvin worked on a harvest crew for Bill and Elon Miller for a few years, then switched careers and began driving trucks for over 20 years (most of which was spent at Sporer Land Development). In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, attending stock car races, going on adventures with his children, watching football, primarily the Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs and Nebraska Cornhuskers. He also enjoyed collecting knives and rare coins. He took every possible moment to spend time with family and friends. Calvin was known best for his goofy smile, corny jokes, contagious laughter and his kindness. He was known to lend a helping hand to anyone he could, every time he had a chance. There is no doubt he left a lasting impression on everyone he met and will forever be missed.

He is survived by his four children Joshua Lemman and family, Elliott Lemman and family, Ethan Lemman and Zachary Lemman and family; as well as his sisters, Beverly Lemman and family, and Glenda Sharpe and family; and brothers, Randy Lemman and Stacey Lemman and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Louise Lemman and brothers, Douglas Lemman and Dallas Lemman.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2025, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby, with burial in Beulah Cemetery, Colby. For information or condolences visit baalmannmortuary.com
