Brian Friesen

Brian Friesen, 36, of Colby, died Saturday, November 16, 2019. He was born October 11, 1983, in Colby, Kansas, to Jon and Ann Friesen. He graduated from Colby High School in May 2002 and from Kansas State University in May 2007, with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Brian was a devoted father and loving son, farming with his mother and father on their grain farm in Colby.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam and Juanita Friesen and Will and Elaine Sander.

He is survived by his children, Riley, Colin and Dylan, of Colby; parents, Jon and Ann Friesen, of Colby; sisters, Ashley Bridgeman (Jeremy), of Newton, Kansas and Katie Friesen, of Ames, Iowa and niece and nephews, Izzie, Aiden and Thomas Bridgeman, of Newton, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 4-7 PM, Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby, with a Vigil Rosary at 7 PM. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, November 22, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby, with burial in Beulah Cemetery, Colby. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Brian Friesen Memorial Fund, sent in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 391, Colby KS 67701.
