Betty Lou (Shaw) McDonald

Betty Lou McDonald, 84, of Gove, died Sunday, November 17, 2024, at KU Medical Center, in Kansas City, KS. She was born March 21, 1940, Seattle, WA, to James and Frances Shaw. Betty was united in marriage to Merlyn McDonald on November 18, 1978. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting and ran her own yarn store, Gove City Yarns.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and son, Bryan McDonald. She is survived by her husband Merlyn, of Gove; children, Stanley McDonald, John (Angela) Miller, Brenda Hoopingarner (Lance), Sterling (Debi) Miller, Scot McDonald, Deidre (David) Day, and Tiffany (Kenneth) Martin; sister Virginia Price and 24 grandchildren.
