Anita M. Huelsmann, 70, of Grinnell, died Saturday, January 26, 2013. She was born April 2, 1942 to Chester and Reba (Schroeder) Gormley in Quinter, KS. She attended grade school and high school in Grinnell and business college in Omaha, NE. She married Charles Huelsmann on April 20, 1979 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Grinnell. She was owner and operator of Crownover Insurance Agency for many years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and St. Mary’s Altar Society. She was president of the Grinnell High School Alumni Association, Secretary of the Grinnell Cow Pattie Golf Club, active in the Grinnell Pride Committee and sold Watkins for many years. She loved going camping with Charlie, watching all kinds of sports, taking care of her garden and yard and always took special interest in her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a step brother, Herman Struckhoff and a special brother, Randy Struckhoff.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; a brother, Jerry (Jeanie) Gormley, of Grinnell; a sister, Judy (Roger) Hartman, of Arvada, CO and many relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Parish Center, Grinnell with a vigil service at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be 10:30 am on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Grinnell.
